produktivnost

The Ex-Yugoslavia, including the
Republic of Serbia (the “RoS”), had a very specific economic and organizational system since its foundation in the late ‘40 till the beginning of the ’90. The system was based on socially owned property and self-governance.

Socially owned property was a concept where ownership in general (over land, real estate, companies, capital, assets etc.) was being attributed neither to the state nor to the individual, but rather to the generic concept of ”working people” i.e. citizens.

Being the property of, hypothetically, everybody and no one specific at the same time, the socially owned property was under a regime of “self-governance”. Self-governance was usually put into place through, so called, “working people councils” which represented and performed the duties of companies’ founders.
